[09:44:31] pawandubey: Switching to Rails 5 has taken away the ActiveRecord debug statements from our logs and explicitly setting the logger also doesn't help. Anybody know why this is?
[09:44:57] pawandubey: I am talking about statements like "User Load (3.0ms) SELECT "users".* FROM "users" WHERE "users"."id" = 3 ORDER BY "users"."id" ASC LIMIT 1
[09:44:58] pawandubey: (2.0ms) SELECT COUNT(*) FROM "users" WHERE (driver_register_state_cd = -2)"
[09:45:13] sevenseacat: are you using the quiet_assets gem?
[09:46:25] pawandubey: sevenseacat Nope
[09:47:02] byteflame: has joined #RubyOnRails
[09:47:05] sevenseacat: I've had issues with quiet_assets swallowing all kinds of logs it shouldnt, and its not necessary in rails 5 anyway.... but thats not it then
[09:47:46] pawandubey: Yeah. We didn't add any new gems while switching to Rails 5 (apart from the controller-testing gem) and it worked fine on 4.2
[09:48:17] sevenseacat: I'm also working on a rails 5 upgrade so I'm fairly familiar with some of this lol
[09:48:27] sevenseacat: what is your log_level set to?
[09:50:43] pawandubey: It's :debug, from what I could check in the console. We aren't explicitly changing it anywhere either.
[09:51:43] pawandubey: Yeah Rails 5 was a huge battle for me. Our app is a bit on the complex side and it took me multiple weeks to iron out all the kinks.
[09:52:02] pawandubey: This issue continues to aggravate me though
[09:52:22] matthewd: Is this development or production? Do you mean the actual log files, or the console output while running `rails s`?

I've found some code that is able to check against the old password/salt (which I've pulled into a LegacyUsers table) but wasn't

I want to add an "Add New" button to this page, but I don't know if it's possible, and if so, how it's done. Any ideas?

[22:11:42] cnk: fugee: when you have validation errors, you are going to rerender the new or edit template - depending on if you are in create or update - so just make sure whatever instance vars were set in the correspeonding controller are set for rendering errors
