[01:30:01] testercsgo: Hi guys, does anyone have a recommendation for a profanity filter gem? To filter out swear words, sex stuff, hate/racism etc? Doesn't need to be perfect, but needs to work with active model + rails 5. All gems I can find seem a bit old, so not sure. Thanks!
[08:28:49] ams__: I've just inherited a large ror project. We have a bunch of rake tasks for setting up test dbs and various util functions that would never be used in production. We're thinking we want to split this tasks out from our main repo. Is this a reasonable thing to do? Am I barking up the wrong tree?
[08:31:37] ams__: But tasks we'd never ever want to use in production - some which are arguably a little scary to have available in production
[08:32:08] ams__: Yeah I don't want to get rid of them, but I'd feel more comfortable if I could separate them out and only have them available on my dev/test envs
[08:32:22] tbuehlmann_: ams__: some rake tasks are disabled for production nowadays, maybe do that too
[08:33:17] ams__: So in python the way I'd do this is create a separate "tester" package and only put that on my test/dev envs
[08:38:44] tbuehlmann_: like this: https://github.com/rails/rails/pull/24399/files#diff-28a5ae383b291583c513ad8eeed99a3aR259
[08:39:59] ams__: so that solves half my problem, but the other side is - I want devs to be able to add test stuff, but I kinda wanna separate the clutter from the core repo
[08:40:30] ams__: Like at the mo I "git grep" for something in a repo and there's all this crap, that's useful in dev, but kind of gets in the way

[11:01:53] yunior_alayo: strack trace from the console https://gist.github.com/anonymous/bd1172520108c75ef7f308336eaf57cf
[11:08:53] yunior_alayo: is it possible that the mail gem version is affecting when i call the mail method
[11:13:46] yunior_alayo: strack trace from the console https://gist.github.com/anonymous/bd1172520108c75ef7f308336eaf57cf
[11:18:39] sevenseacat: so whats on app/mailers/profile_registration_notifier_mailer.rb:5:in `error_email' ?
[11:19:27] yunior_alayo: sevenseacat this is the mailer code https://gist.github.com/anonymous/a8c996ccc4d3590e4dcdf1c331698def
[11:27:32] yunior_alayo: and i think maybe there is another mail class or method that interfere with the one that actionmailer calls
[15:05:47] b0mbnet: i need help for a nginx problem, i can not access my website, it just get 404, and nginx have no logs, i can not troubshooting, but my domain has correct A record, this is my nginx config https://gist.github.com/chen7897499/67bebb96e86fcb39c0d0f8523ef60a2d
[15:06:35] b0mbnet: my puma server is correctly start, i can access localserver throught this command, curl -X GET --unix-socket /home/www/gpk_account_online_sandbox/shared/tmp/sockets/gpk_account-puma.sock http://
[15:13:03] fryguy: try structuring your config like this instead of try_files fallback to proxy: https://github.com/puma/puma/blob/master/docs/nginx.md
[15:22:43] b0mbnet: i have changed my config, and restarted, still not working https://gist.github.com/chen7897499/18150fb154edee86b2c1b37a47e8899b
[15:30:37] fryguy: b0mbnet: ok, and when you curl localhost, what happens, you get shown the not-test one, right?
[15:31:41] b0mbnet: when i curl 'localhost' it return this one https://gist.githubusercontent.com/chen7897499/ae79734038c96a8d39ddedef0d2296f0/raw/c413ff7f44b27d51be8816cc3ba600d235f4d2f8/gpk_account
[15:35:46] fryguy: what's the contents of this directory: use `ls -l` /home/www/gpk_account_online_sandbox/current/
[15:37:31] b0mbnet: i do not think this is not rails app issue, beacause i can access it though this command , curl -X GET --unix-socket /home/www/gpk_account_online_sandbox/shared/tmp/sockets/gpk_account-puma.sock http://
[15:39:13] b0mbnet: just rails standard public folder, https://gist.github.com/chen7897499/f2fbc27628c212113419310e1d63d053
[15:43:31] b0mbnet: first: run nginx -t to check my config syntax is correct, then run service nginx restart
[16:32:59] tbuehlmann_: if `config` is coming from Rails.configuration, then no, I don't know of any hot reloading (in production)
[16:34:43] b0mbnet: ok, i figured it out, beacause it is a internal server, so i can not hit it, get 404, i have to config proxy for it on outer server, like this https://gist.github.com/chen7897499/354657d5bfc377faced92d1dbd7f9dc0
[18:54:30] cam27: If I think of how much a lot of Union jobs with no skills get paid, then we would make $300 an hour
