[00:35:13] baweaver: So, Integration and Acceptance testing in Rails. Are people still sticking with Capybara or is there a move towards Mocha/Chai/JS testing now?
[03:26:38] xco: hi i have this has_many association https://gist.github.com/xcobar/6f8c7cfe5dd881c6ccd4c5a2789c4e27. what i want to do in the console is join the Authors and Books table and dispaly each author and his book. I tried Author.joins(:books).select('name, books.title') but it displays only author name and author id is nil for some reason. any help?
[06:07:02] xco: how do sum multiple columns on a Book model. I tried Book.select(sum(‘price_before price_after as price’)) doesn’t seem to work
[06:45:05] xco: maybe someone wants to help with this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46509802/sum-multiple-columns-and-name-it
[12:44:15] xco: in active records i have some attributes as nil that are supposed to be 0. is there a way i can make these attibutes 0 before using them to compute a sum?
[14:20:59] hexcat: I don't remember? I was looking what RSS feeds I'm getting over HTTP and trying to make them HTTPS
[14:22:11] matthewd: Ah, so you just changed it by hand -- as long as there isn't a real link somewhere claiming it supports https
[14:23:19] hexcat: I got answer from ##security that it's probably on github pages, and github pages docs say that https is not supported for custom domains
[14:24:33] matthewd: It's configured exactly as intended, so I'm not sure where the misconfiguration would be
[14:31:20] hexcat: I just thought that if site doesn't support https it just doesn't accept requests. But I don't really know how Github Pages work, so I won't think too much
[15:50:31] andrewray: Are there any other mvc frameworks, ideally in untyped scripting language land, that load source code files on demand, not up front?
[18:44:49] DaniG2k: does anyone know how I can send Dropzone images along with other form data using Vue.js and Rails?
[18:45:03] DaniG2k: I've outlined my question in more detail here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46514319/send-dropzone-images-along-with-other-form-data-using-vue-js-and-rails
[19:36:31] morfin: i will ask again - is there soem disadvantages when using ActiveCable and what? And what advantages when using it instead of standalone pubsub?
[21:37:00] dachi: hello. do you know how can I change order of Devise's extensions? Two gems are using Warden::AfterAuthentication hook. I need one to execute it before another. Tried changing order in Gemfile and in model's devise :ext1, ext:2 list
