[05:46:11] Roughy: Hello! I am creating a new Subscription record with a has_many relation to Filter. When I query the Filters belonging to a Subscription, I get an extra record that does not exist in the database, and is nulled out except for the subscription_id field
[05:46:22] Roughy: Code and console output: https://gist.github.com/Nordskog/669000d991df6843ca23e8a2b95a85c0
[05:46:59] Roughy: Googling hasn't gotten me much. I figured this might be how unsaved records might behave, but the nil item is still present after a restart
[05:50:54] Roughy: I am currently creating it directly with a button_to create: https://gist.github.com/Nordskog/d9fd39e1c564ddd6727c25bb258efb52
[05:53:29] Roughy: in an attempt to keep everything modular, even the simplest page is spread over a million files
[05:53:58] Roughy: I do have a @subscription.filters.build in the the subscription controller's new method
[05:56:35] Roughy: That would be a solution, but I should probably be figuring out why it gets added in the place
[05:59:42] Roughy: Earlier I would populate filters on creation of a new subscription, which, when the parameters with an empty list of values would evidently keep it from appearing
[06:21:12] Roughy: Printing filters directly after saving, but before rendering the response it's empty, so... I must be messing with it somewhere down the render chain
[06:46:25] srkska: I have a module and inside a module I have an instance_method which takes some input as an argument to produce a result. How can I access this instance_method outside of the module ?
[07:58:29] naftilos76: Hi, is there a gem that can be used to load a controller file from another rails app and give me a list of defs, before/after filters, defs after a private or protected section etc?
[13:54:05] Stabs: https://gist.github.com/Codefencing/517f4ea3b13e91da9a5eae61b4a551ea problem with command db:migrate:reset
[14:35:18] Stabs: Authenticated users, System and Administrators have all permissions on. Me as a user, which is odd given I'm also admin, I lack full control, modify, and write permissions.
