[10:52:05] jammanbo: Got a show that responds to :pdf format. /things/1.pdf. Happy days. Now, hooked it up to generate the PDF in background and will use Cable to update the UI when ready. Sound. But, am I still responding to a PDF request? Not really. Should the request still be to /things/1.pdf (or otherwise be specifying PDF as the accepted content) only for it to not send back PDF content, or should I now be responding to JS? What say ye?
[12:03:20] RougeR: i dont really understand how this creates multiple routes, and i wanted to read some documentation on it
[12:24:46] drale2k_: I have a question about model ogranization and which direction to go https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50176305/rails-how-to-organise-my-models-in-this-particular-case
[12:39:51] jammanbo: RougeR: Yeah, it's just "resourceful routing". http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/ActionDispatch/Routing/Mapper/Resources.html#method-i-resources
[12:40:29] RougeR: thanks for the confirmation jammanbo it was just throwing me a bit as i was never taught it. rake routes helped explain it a bit.
[17:16:50] andywww: please can someone let me know if there is anything obviousl I’m doing wrong with this JR config? I’m not sure I’ve deviated from the documentation enough for it to be something i’ve caused..
