[00:34:14] bonhoeffer: I just upgraded my rails app to 5.2 and my omniauth redirects to the regular username / pw device
[07:40:32] hekin: I am working on a Ruby on Rails ( version 5.2) app, pretty happy with the new ActiveStorage functionality, however, I found some of direct uploads work and I could see them from within s3 console, but for some of uploads, it will return an error saying https://imgur.com/a/bVm347I
[13:48:15] bonhoffer: i'm trying to troubleshoot omniauth and would love to make a test or rake task instead of trying to get this to work in the browser -- any tips?
[13:48:48] bonhoffer: i'm getting a csrf problem and I'm tweaking lots of things to get it working, but i have to spin up rails s each time and then do 3 clicks
[14:42:29] Pupeno: How do I link to a route that looks like this (without naming it): get "/java_modules/:group_id/:artifact_id/:version", to: "java_modules#show" ?
[16:08:05] Pupeno: fryguy: as far as I see, no name: GET /java_modules/:group_id/:artifact_id/:version(.:format) java_modules#show
[16:10:57] fryguy: does `url_for(controller: :java_modules, action: show)` or similar do what you want?
[16:44:49] mroutis: so they try to avoid having a bunch of implicit side effects when creating an object, for example
[16:46:47] mroutis: there was something named "service objects" or whatever; basically, they encapsulate a lot of methods inside a class, exposing a single "callable" method
[16:48:10] mroutis: and you can have a `User; after_create: NotifyUser.call; ...` or something like that
[16:50:14] mroutis: it's all about how do you or your team prefer to organize the code to stay productive
[16:53:11] mroutis: maybe a couple of developers dislike callbacks, but they are not the ones driving the development of the framework
[23:17:11] bonhoeffer_: i'm seeing: "The change you wanted was rejected. Maybe you tried to change something you didn't have access to. If you are the application owner check the logs for more information." what logs are these?
[23:18:50] bonhoeffer_: my production log only has: # Logfile created on 2018-07-08 16:52:25 -0400 by logger.rb/61378
