[00:57:36] hnanon: I'm wondering if I should create a FulfillmentStatus model to track order status: received, processed, shipped, delivered.
[00:58:59] hnanon: Or, just overwrite a status attributes on the Order model: fulfillment_status, payment_status
[01:04:29] mlt-: unless you want to keep a record of fulfillment status change, there is no need for another table...imho
[01:05:38] hnanon: mlt-: Yeah, I was just thinking it would be cool to show a little table to customers of how the order is progressing.
[01:08:16] mlt-: once again.. unless you expect some fancy processing.. like backordered, etc or something back and forth, you might get by with several columns if order of status order changes is always same and simple.
[01:20:03] hnanon: If I have item_total, tax_total, and shipping_total attributes, is it a good practice to also have an order_total that sums them all. Or, should I just do that in the view?
[01:39:11] bga57: Does anyone here know how much advance registration for railsconf is likely to be?
[08:34:24] bothari: Howdy! I'm looking for a good tutorial on ujs for rails 5.2 (or 5.1). I've checked the guides, but I guess I need something else. I'm learning jQuery now, which is part of my problem.
[08:43:35] Psy-Q: my issues from thursday with newly created related records not being saved had to do with validations deep, deep inside the chain of related stuff failing
[08:43:54] Psy-Q: so the first associated record did save, the second one became invalid because the first had saved and triggered a uniqueness validation :P
[09:29:15] za1b1tsu: doorkeeper is giving me "The redirect uri included is not valid." when the redirect_uri is not https. How can I fix this?
[14:50:52] teleknesia: hello, i trying setting up a development environment in vagrant using, centos7 box, using rvm i installed "ruby 1.8.7 -p 374" and when i run "gem install rails -v 3.2.13", can't install because rack-cache need a ruby >=2.0.0
[14:51:21] teleknesia: i neeed to use ruby 1.8.7 and rails 3.2.13 because my hosting server uses theses versions
[15:14:44] ss942: python-redmine lib have no way to add documents. Documents dosen't even have rest API, at least attachments have but I see no way to set up contrainer
[16:33:36] mrbubbles: Evening folks. I'm just trying to override a controller action (the controller is provided by Devise) but leave the rest of the controller intact. Am I correct in thinking that I should use a decorator for that?
[19:50:17] newton: with eager loading (I'm assuming it's related) is there any reliable way to get the instance methods of a model?
[19:50:54] newton: doing Model.instance_methods(false) returns an empty array in a lot of cases, unsure if there is another way I can go about this
[20:32:59] tubbo: but i have had issues with autoloading when certain dependencies were located in lib/ vs app/
[22:07:29] timdotrb: Does anyone know if, when using CarrierWave, is there a way to access an attribute on the calling model in the uploader class?
