[03:53:34] w09x: anyone here know how to use an alias when creating a ActiveRecord::Associations::JoinDependency?
[05:36:22] istrasci__: has_and_belongs_to_many associations get a `collection=objects` method. What does this return? Is there any way for it to fail? I can't find any documentation for this.
[06:12:12] sagax: how to write model in activerecord if name with `s`? example name `SomeStatus`, i must write `SomeStatu` but `Status` it's single word
[14:12:19] Scient: amd who though its a good idea to check remote storage on every file request, gah
[14:35:14] Psy-Q: is there something like puma nowadays that can be exposed in production, skipping apache/nginx entirely?
[14:58:29] snk: it's just that web servers are much better at buffering requests and serving assets... not sure it's really worth skipping that part of it
[14:59:02] snk: if what you're building is going to be relatively low traffic, puma with several workers should do ok though
[15:10:30] andywww: anyone fancy helping me out a bit with an ordering through a joining table query?
[15:10:39] andywww: I have the following: Users—< UserApplications >—Applications and would like to select all unique Applicatons ordered by the _first_ User’s second_name attribute
[15:10:48] andywww: i can work it out when I’ve got a Users >—< Applications but the joining table has got me stumped
[15:12:26] Psy-Q: snk: ah, right. i just heard there's some fancy new kid in town and can't for the life of me remember the name
[15:12:51] Psy-Q: with the major downside being a bit slow delivery of raw files, but that wouldn't matter in e.g. an API situation
[16:32:21] istrasci: has_and_belongs_to_many associations get a `collection=objects` method. What does this return? Is there any way for it to fail? I can't find any documentation for this.
[16:54:46] guyzmo: hi! I posted an issue about scope overriding, and I was wondering if it was worth doing a PR about that? https://github.com/rails/rails/issues/35499
