[00:45:10] bga57: There were two rails 6 sessions scheduled for this morning, but I don't know whether that means it's going to be released soon.
[08:02:10] dionysus69: I get IOError: stream closed in another thread in sidekiq job for the first time ever while contacting a locally hosted RPC server
[08:02:58] dionysus69: one solution is to queue jobs after a fixed delay which is a dirty fix. any other cleaner ideas? I have over 5 other rpc servers and never encountered such error before
[17:49:11] krawchyk: has anyone had luck configuring VS Code with chruby? i have to launch code from my terminal after i switch ruby versions currently, wondering if there's a better way to configure that with folder or workspace settings for examaple
[19:06:32] MrPunkin: Can anyone help me diagnose why my helper methods aren’t available in view in Rails 5?
[21:28:12] ramfjord: Anyone using a PostgreSQL based backend for ActiveJob in rails 5+? Both `delayed_job` and `queue_classic` seem a bit out of date (~1 year since any active commits, QC looks nice but migrations are broken since rails 4 something). I don't need another infra component to manage - I'm expecting a few hundred jobs per day at peak load. Just need async processing, reliability, and locking
[21:28:40] ramfjord: I honestly would love to contribute to QueueClassic but there seem to be a bunch of open PRs that haven't been looked at by the maintainers
[21:29:37] ramfjord: I might just use delayed_job, the migrations work but the docs seem a bit out of date
[21:33:15] cnsvc: Have a question about bundler. Why can't I remove old bundler of default from project? 'bundle uninstall bundler --version="1.17.2"
[23:35:51] hahuang65: I vaguely remember there was a way to set up rspec to do certain things for certain types of tests... for example, always set a request header for controller specs... anyone remember how to do this?
