I have just one form and there three buttons (search, update, insert)..on these buttons I pinned jQuery to change action on form : $("#prod-manage").attr('action', '/commissions/search'); and in same way the others buttons...my problem is, that when I am in default status/method which is in my case 'new' ...http://localhost:3000/commissions/new ...I try search some the record in DB and is
[07:16:43] ZAJDAN: found....Iam switched into: http://localhost:3000/commissions/search ...now I try search new record and in this moment Iam switched into method 'update'...why?
[08:23:42] jasmin: Hello there, I am in production env., I have this rule in my css file : "background-image: url('frog-1347642_1920.jpg');", that made the fatal error "ActionController::RoutingError (No route matches [GET] "/assets/frog-1347642_1920.jpg"):"
[08:31:25] jasmin: In my conf I put config.public_file_server.enabled = true. For the Js files it is ok, but for the images in the folder assets/images I still have this issue
[08:48:54] ZAJDAN: jasmin: hello, Iam greenhorn in RoR, but I think you have to edit/adjust your 'routes.rb'
[08:57:55] ZAJDAN: jasmin: try to look here->https://stackoverflow.com/questions/16843143/rails-4-image-path-image-url-and-asset-url-no-longer-work-in-scss-files
[09:53:14] MrCrackPotBuilde: ive gone through my api's authentication procedure with a fine tooth combe and i cant find whats causing this error. Completed 500 Internal Server Error in 164ms (Views: 3.8ms | ActiveRecord: 5.0ms). looking at the error im going to take a wild guess that its looking for a view. but its a JSON only API. there arent any views
[09:56:12] MrCrackPotBuilde: Its strange too because the error only happens on log in not with register or update.
[09:56:35] MrCrackPotBuilde: and im still able to log in and get the users profile in return. the error is the last line.
[12:28:38] NL3limin4t0r: rbanffy: What do you mean by "why some native extensions were not build"? Do you mean the Ruby std-lib? Or what are "native extensions"?
[14:06:49] FrankDW2: Hi, if I want to save the body of a message from ActionMailer before sending it how would I do that?
[14:07:20] FrankDW2: mail(params..) is returning ActionMailer::Base::NullMail, I can see information under m.processed?
[16:14:49] retromode: hello. im following this guide https://edgeguides.rubyonrails.org/engines.html#hooking-into-an-application (namely 4.3.2) in an attempt to have an library engine inherit from a different AdminController (i guess similarly to how the guide does the same but with the application controller). is the proper approach to create a controller that i own that inherits from AdminController and simply calls the mounted engine when that
[18:42:04] DoctorMonocular: does anyone know of a gem that has the functionality, maybe just internal, of a form builder app like typeform or wufoo? It's impossible to google because "rails form builder" is the internal api for making any form, not an app for end users to make their own forms with
[18:51:25] NL3limin4t0r: DoctorMonocular: I'm not exactly sure what form functionality you're looking for. But have you looked at the "Form Builders" catogory at https://ruby-toolbox.com?
[20:49:34] IGnorAND: Anyone know why I get the following: Mysql2::Error: Unsupported charset: '"unicode"'
[20:55:22] rbanffy: NL3limin4t0r_afk: I'm following the tutorial. Installed a clean container with a Fedora 30 install, ruby, dev tools, headers, etc. When I create the blog app and try to serve it, it complains of missing pieces and suggest a bundle install. It's then that I get messages like "Ignoring bootsnap-1.4.4 because its extensions are not built. Try: gem pristine bootsnap --version 1.4.4"
[20:56:55] Axsuul: I have a few sidekiq workers that have been stuck for a few hours now. I tried sending the process a TTIN signal but it's not logging anything as to why it's stuck. Any suggestions on debugging this?
[20:57:15] rbanffy: A lot of the people who had these issues had them because they were using rvm and the extensions were built for a different ruby, but the container is a very simple install with only the bare essentials (and one single Ruby runtime).
[21:05:58] carbone5: has_many budgets through receipts I can't figure out how to bypass validations on receipt table when doing @user.budget.create(title:"some_title", amount: 200)
