[00:41:33] et09: maybe.. something autogenerated?

[03:05:55] ian_strascina: I'm adding supplementary methods to my model's columns by iterating the *columns_hash*, and defining new methods. I'd like to do this for all my models automatically. How can I do this? I thought about monkey patching ActiveRecord::ModleSchema::ClassMethods since that's where *columns_hash* is defined, but I can't get it to work.

[04:57:45] et09: i'm having a problem with default cookie store throwing a CookieOverflow as a result of devise trying to store a user object > 4k
[04:58:14] et09: in theory i could replace the session store mechanism. but i wonder if there's a way to force devise to only store current_user id and load in the user from db per request?
[04:59:48] et09: or maybe um, if i can take my User model, and save it in-store while omitting some of the sizeable jsonb properties?
[04:59:57] ariedler: has joined #RubyOnRails
[05:00:07] et09: and do current_user reload on the rare occasions i need them?
[05:04:16] et09: aha https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9473808/cookie-overflow-in-rails-application
[05:04:19] et09: it works

[15:40:22] FrostCandy: I want to make my lable a picture instead of text, but this puts the image link in text form instead of picture form - <%= label :template_select, image_tag("cat.jpg") %>
[15:40:57] FrostCandy: It just prints <img src"mypic"/> to the screen instead of acting like html
[15:44:57] FrostCandy: I suppose i can just do <%=label :whatever, ''%> then a image tag after it. Or just leave the label off completely
