[14:27:10] Zarathu: nox: not that i can remember. they authorize a few large private companies to do that, and citizens pay the authorized enterprises
[14:27:34] nox: My tax filing as a French citizen is basically "click on next until it says you are done with tax filing".
[14:28:20] ariedler: nox: for canadians it is basically filling in a bunch of forms that you get from your employer + banks; and then declaring any supplemental income/deductions/tax incentives.
[14:28:21] nox: Clicking on next is a hurdle in itself though, twice I forgot to file them on time and had to send an email to the tax services to get the penalties cancelled (they always cancelled them).
[14:28:58] nox: ariedler: Same here but all the forms are pre-filled, so you just tell the tax services what they don't know yet (e.g. giving a pension to your parents or stuff like that).
[14:29:21] Zarathu: they're usually good about canceling penalties here too. i was late once like 10 years ago, my accountant sent them a letter basically saying "please, it's almost christmas" and it worked
[14:29:38] ariedler: nox: canada is almost there, since they have 'auto-fill' for your forms, but they still miss stuff
[14:30:16] Zarathu: well, i tried the snails at 3 different restaurants in different parts of the city, and they were all exactly the same
[14:32:11] Zarathu: seemed like the quality of the croissants went down? like they were incredible a decade ago
[14:32:35] nox: Yeah you were unlucky. There are good bakeries all around but a lot of them are shit, yeah.
[14:33:03] nox: It's a side effect of the whole "startup nation" crap, people don't want to spend a lot of time eating, and stuff like that, so the food quality is decreasing in many parts.
[14:33:22] nox: I try to keep things balance by taking lunch breaks that are a minimum of two hours.
[14:37:45] nox: Working for a US company made me realise there are a lot of people out there who can speak French, way more than I thought (not talking about Québec and areas where it's expected to speak French, just people learning the language in school).
[14:40:38] Zarathu: i went to a school for french immigrants here, we had 45 minutes of english a day. everything else was in french
[14:43:34] Zarathu: actually on topic: it would be really great to be able to reuse names for Ecto.Multi calls
[14:51:12] Zarathu: Multi.new() |> Multi.insert(:orders_products, ...) |> Multi.insert(:order, ...) |> Multi.update(:order, &apply_coupon/3) (etc)
[14:54:23] fmcgeough: :-) yeah. that’s what I’d try if I was in your shoes. I would think it’d work fine and the error would be more helpful if it occurs
[18:18:48] davic: josevalim, hi, do you mind me asking if it a possibility in the future to add gitlab.com as one of the supported opts in scm?
[18:19:34] davic: or is there a way to add it as a opts in a config somewhere for Elixir to catch it?
[18:29:46] Nicd-: it does but I don't know what your exact problem is. you can use gitlab as dependency already I think
[18:31:42] davic: but I meant as a possiblity to just make it a bit prettier as gitlab.com is 2nd biggest after github currently
[20:45:45] lpil: Github only has a shorthand because Elixir itself is hosted there and there are no plans to add more
