hey guys, total newb to ruby/rails here. playing around with rspec and vcr and I am having a hard time understanding how to test whether or not my response is of a certain http_status. I assume it fails because vcr stores everything in a file
havenwood: im working my way through the first upcase course material on ruby. I would rather implement things without using too many gems for now though I have seen people using nokogiri extensively in the office
That makes sense thanks. I read that it is dependant on some packages that are not always available on the machine. Since others will be reviewing my code I would rather keep things simple to setup
nickjj, I am a total noob but trying to setup vagrant using my own box (for now im using ubuntu) and then using docker to perform all the provisioning. Does this look remotely correct to you? https://gist.github.com/CausaMortis/090e4b7ec518005d9899468d75961bee
Currently running under windows and considering docker for windows is still in beta id rather serve up a vm using vagrant
vagrant can use boot2docker as a provider but i would rather, if possible, have full control over the base box
hi guys, im completely new to ruby and I am trying to set up a provisioning script for vagrant. what I find confusing is how (most of the posts I find online) never talk about a webserver like nginx or nginx-passenger. is it over kill wanting to install that?
