[17:08:26] daveomcd: baweaver, ok thanks let me try it
[17:25:28] daveomcd: baweaver, doesn't seem to work for me. I've tried except and extract. They return the key / values that apply - that I expected to be removed - but when I check the object again they're still there

[16:50:01] daveomcd: if i have a nested attribute of a model, do I have to create a controller for that nested attributes model? Or do I simply have to add it to the strong parameters and put in the model the "accepts_nested_attributes_for" ?

[19:16:36] daveomcd: if I have a route on my players model, get 'play_history', and then I want to also have a page that people can access by passing a parameter to play_history like so, '.../play_history/2015' how do I write that in my routes.rb file?

[20:14:00] daveomcd: I created a model on a branch, and then deleted that branch. However I cant run db:migrate using that same model name because it says the table already exists. Can I "resolve" this issue by simply deleting the table(s) on the database end and rerunning the db:migrate? Or will that cause me issues...

[14:29:51] daveomcd: Anyone know of a gem or possible method that would assist me in "Correct Casing" text that is all caps?
[15:05:34] daveomcd: fox_mulder_cp, sorry for the delayed response, yes I was aware of those but didn't know if there was perhaps a gem or something that also had reference to proper nouns etc etc that would decide what should/shouldn't be capitalized
[15:11:22] daveomcd: fox_mulder_cp, no problem thanks for the info :)

[15:21:32] daveomcd: I'm wanting to have a search box that will show results as a drop down from the search box as I'm typing the name -- is there a gem anyone knows that does this before I start making it?
[19:12:16] daveomcd: is there a gem that will let me add a search box to my site that operates like google's search box. What I mean by that is it will suggest searches based on what is already typed in?
[19:15:03] daveomcd: glasz_, thanks

[15:22:53] daveomcd: is it possible to use an array on my form that isn't part of the object? I'm using <%= f.collection_check_boxes, "my_custom_array[]", @unique_subset, :id, :to_s %> to show some checkboxes for my HABTM relationship -- but it's saying that the "my_custom_array[]" doesn't exist on my object.
[15:23:17] daveomcd: I was then going to handle that custom array in my controller action before updating my object
[15:50:17] daveomcd: universa1, ok cool thanks!
