[20:30:21] gurnoorinder: i did brew doctor. resolved all the issues. it needs xcode 3.2.6 which i am downloading right now.
[20:31:50] gurnoorinder: havenwood: good to see you again. i did and brew said everything is up to date.
[20:40:31] gurnoorinder: havenwood: but i am still using 10.6.8 and thats the max i can use on this version of mac os i think
[20:40:59] gurnoorinder: havenwood: somehow i am not able to install ruby versions more than 2.1.3 using chruby
[20:42:44] gurnoorinder: havenwood: miah: i had 2.2.2 via rvm. now that i switched to chruby, there seems to be a problem
[20:44:27] gurnoorinder: miah: i had deleted everything from mac. and i ma now making a fresh install
[20:47:19] gurnoorinder: miah: is upgrading the os worth it? i tried upgrading it once and it really screwed my system. it only has 4 gig of ram.
[21:01:44] gurnoorinder: havenwood: so if i get 8 gig of ram total and upgrade it to yosemite, will it serve the purpose? and no performance issues?
[23:24:13] gurnoorinder: hello. I want to install ruby and rails using chruby. can someone point or guide me to a web page where they have step by step instructions? if the git setup is also provided with the installtion steps , that would be wonderful

[21:21:21] gurnoorinder: capin: yes. but i was trying to upgrade homebrew. i got this error while doing it
[20:44:59] gurnoorinder: I installed ruby and rails couple of months ago. i do not remember if i used rbenv or rvm or homebrew to install it
[20:46:36] gurnoorinder: I am happy to remove everything and make a fresh and clean install. As rbenv has messed up my RoR and i had to install it again
[21:17:22] gurnoorinder: I installed ruby on rails last year. I am pretty sure i did not use Rbenv. But recently I was taking a tutorial and i installed Rbenv as well as the tutorial asked me to do. I have RVM and RBENV and Homebrew all installed. what my concern is that having both RVM and RBENV a good idea or not? And can they both in some way mess up the environment.? if i want to remove one which one should i remove? will the removal also affect Ruby and Rails installat
[21:19:52] gurnoorinder: can you guide me to removing everything? rbenv, rvm, homebrew, ruby and rails
