webdestroya: hey, so... I'm finally ready to tackle my complex form. I was kinda hoping you could give me some pointers. Still using simple_form and what I have is a one-to-many relationship between Events and Contexts via EventContexts. In my new Event form, I wanted to extend it to show a bunch of checkboxes for all of the possible Contexts. User clicks however many checkboxes and each checked box means a row saved in EventC
hey so I have 'Events' and 'EventCountry' models. An Event can have multiple EventCountries. I want to create a complex form in which - for a given event - a user can tick checkboxes for each of the countries the event applies to. The list of country options attached to a given will be determined by how many EventCountry records are currently in the DB.
how is it that for records created manually via rails console, simple_form will load the correct collection item into the 'edit' form, but won't save any changes back through that same form
