[11:35:17] kaiks: hi, i have a decimal(8,2) field called price, and I want to disallow assigning values like 12.345 (i.e. >2 decimal places). The "cast" seems to happen implicitly though. Is there any way I can disable the implicit rounding without overriding the setter method?
[11:48:22] kaiks: just run "bundle install" and you'll probably be fine
[11:50:14] kaiks: are you sure you're running the project in production environment?
[11:51:25] kaiks: try running: RAILS_ENV=production rake db:migrate
[11:54:25] kaiks: and it still says that you need to install byebug? you should probably move byebug in the gemfile to test section then
[12:00:28] kaiks: I can take a look at your rails files, but I have never used docker
[12:18:57] kaiks: what was it?
[12:22:48] kaiks: well, you helped yourself :) yw

[15:49:15] kaiks: hi, in rails, why can't i access a non-persisted model's association? i.e. model = Model.new(association_id: 123); model.association #=> nil

[15:56:59] kaiks: what rails version are you using?
[15:58:54] kaiks: ah sure enough, that does work outside byebug
[15:59:23] kaiks: well, my problem lies elsewhere, I'm trying to get STI to work with associations and weird stuff keeps happening
