[04:19:01] kapil___: i want to loop through all *.erb files in subdirectories: i come at with : `Dir.glob('/*.erb') do |file| .......`
[04:50:24] elomatreb: kapil___: That gets you all .erb files in the root directory. ** traverses directories, so something like `**/*.erb`
[10:17:48] dar123: hey guyz, any recommended site to practice ruby. I do know a little bit ruby but want to get really good at it.
[10:19:10] dar123: i am starting to build few things, but i want a place where i can see a problem solution done by others as well. my approach might not be the best
[10:19:44] dminuoso: dar123: Any gem you like will be great, though try to not pick a complicated one.
[11:59:16] Quintasan: Would Time not being able to do something that DateTime can do considered a regression?
[11:59:54] Quintasan: That is - DateTime can parse invalid ISO8601 and Time can't (which is correct behaviour but it breaks some things)
[12:03:51] apeiros: yes, as said, I used parse instead of iso8601. I would call it a bug, not a regression (unless the behavior used to be correct)
[12:52:36] leitz: Coffee not wokring. Why is instantiating from a class getting a "no method error"? https://gist.github.com/LeamHall/0e588402c561df5c8779507411cee010
[12:55:19] apeiros: you could btw. of course create a method StarMerchant() which takes one (or more) argument and returns something which responds to new.
[13:03:52] t0th_-: hi, how i can solve this: /usr/lib/ruby/2.3.0/rubygems.rb:241:in `bin_path': can't find gem bundler (>= 0.a) (Gem::GemNotFoundException) ?
[13:06:15] brechbohne92: t0th_- do you use rvm? I can give you a guide how to setup and solve bundle error
[13:09:12] brechbohne92: t0th_- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KARUoHBjeNoiis8TatyrUkxHmb10wk9w/view?usp=sharing
[13:16:17] t0th_-: i dont have rvm command after: \curl -sSL https://get.rvm.io | sudo bash -s stable
[22:15:04] gizmore: in php, when i use @return self... it does know its a user entity, or a foo entity.... and i got a completion coverage of 90% maybe
[22:15:29] gizmore: in my ruby tries now, i got code completion like nothing.... is there some rdoc magic maybe?
[22:16:38] Zarthus: it doesn't matter how many times you'll recode something, but if you change your mind every 5 minutes you'll never get things done.
[22:17:17] gizmore: good things take time :) .... i didnt change my mind i just invented like 5 days in a ruby recode.... i will upload in a bit
[22:25:24] gizmore: going to try redcar soon... maybe i can help to work on code completion by comment annotations
[22:27:01] gizmore: of course..... i am thinking aloud how to knockout php with great ruby approaches
